10 REASONS I ENJOYED PULLMAN DAKAR TERANGA, SENEGAL

Updated: Oct 19, 2022

My hotel choices in Dakar were either Pullman or Radisson.

I ended with Pullman and absolutely had no regrets. Everything was fantastic, from the clean rooms to their amazing breakfasts to the recreation centers opposite the hotel.

Photo 1: Checked in! Super cool room key with a twist.

Totally ambience at the Pullman hotel- calm, warm and beautifully set up.

10 REASONS I ENJOYED PULLMAN DAKAR TERANGA, SENEGAL.

10 REASONS I ENJOYED PULLMAN DAKAR TERANGA, SENEGAL.

1.) INTERNET: They have great wi-fi. You can stream videos and easily browse at your convenience.

1.) WELL MAINTAINED ROOMS: My room was very well maintained and clean. I had the sea view from my room. The room size sort of small but also suitable for 2 persons. It also came with a cool workstation right behind the bed, a wardrobe and an ironing board with an iron 😊

3.) BREAKFAST: they have a selection of options for everyone. There’s a salad bar, variety of healthy juices, fruits trays and crepe/eggs stand. Omg! They had the yummiest crepes.

4.) SPA, MINI-GYM & POOL: At the gym, you have the view of the infinity pool and the sea view which is also just across the hotel. You can check out my Instagram/TikTok for a video @faridasdiary. They also have a Spa, which I unfortunately did not get to try out.

5.) BEACH CLUB: Just across the hotel is a beach club – Teranga Beach Club. In here, there is a large pool for kids and adults. You can also have a feel of the ocean while you order your meal. You can bill your meals to your room tab. Oh! And there’s a trampoline for kids.

I was first introduced to Thieb Dieune and Poulet Yassa at the club. The servers were very nice and patience with me when I was clueless on what to order. Thankfully, one of the servers could speak good English so he recommended all dishes for me.

6.) FOOD: I ordered room service at the hotel once. The poulet Yassa here was really nice. Yassa is prepared with onions and marinated poultry/fish.

7.) HOTEL BAR: They make good cocktails! My default drink orders were always a Mojito and I have no regrets.

8.) OUTDOOR BAR: in the evenings you could seat out by bar, enjoy music (mostly Nigerian) and have a few drinks and Shisha. I had this amazing lava cake for dessert, and it was worth the calories.

a.

9.) IN TOWN: If you want to stay in a hotel, where you have access to shops, walk around in search of food out the hotel, markets and pretty much see around, then you should consider here.

10.) TENNIS COURT: If you enjoy tennis, then you are lucky! There is a tennis court just a little further down the corner outside the hotel. It is old but functional. A large court which has its own supplies of tennis balls, you can play at a small cost. You can get a good deal if you negotiate! I really enjoyed playing here because it was right by the ocean which was lovely to experience.

FYI: I however must say that if you request to have the ocean view, the outdoor bar is directly below these rooms so chances of you hearing the music till 12 in the morning is high. The rooms with the ocean view are smaller compared to the rooms facing the city.

Overall, a solid recommendation from me.

What other hotels in Dakar would you also recommend?
